Rent in Aberdeen (rentinaberdeen.co.uk) is operated as an independent property rental portal focused on Aberdeen, Scotland. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What data we collect
For renters (site visitors)
- We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how our site is used. We do not use Google Analytics.
- We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising trackers.
- We do not collect personal data from renters unless you voluntarily submit a contact form.
- We record anonymous, aggregate page view counts on property listings to help agents understand which properties receive interest. These do not identify individual visitors.
For letting agents
- Account data: company name, contact name, email address, phone number, website URL.
- Property data: property addresses, descriptions, images, and rental details that you submit for listing.
- Authentication data: password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing via ASP.NET Core Identity).
- Payment data: if you upgrade to a Premium subscription, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card number, expiry date, or CVC on our servers.
How we use your data
- To display your property listings on our public website.
- To operate your agent account and dashboard.
- To process Premium subscription payments via Stripe.
- To send transactional emails (welcome emails, subscription confirmations, search alerts) via Resend.
- To provide aggregate analytics (property views, enquiry clicks) on your agent dashboard.
- To improve our website and services.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

- Search alerts: retained while active, deleted on unsubscribe.
